A LONG AND PROUD HISTORY.
Over 80 years ago, Simon Karagozian dropped out of school to make charms in Manhattan’s famous Diamond District. He was only 15 years old. He honed those skills; found a love and passion for fine jewelry and eventually became a wholesale jewelry manufacturer throughout the 1940s and 1950s. In the late 1960s, he decided to give retail a try and opened his storefront just north of New York City in Cold Spring, NY. Even years ago, Simon had a love for creating. In fact, his first business card for that store read “Simon Karagozian, Jeweler, Specializing in the Unusual.” If we had to re-create his card today, we couldn’t have said it better.
Eventually, Simon would pass on that passion to his son-in-law and grandsons. Today, everyone lives by that same motto at Jaymark Jewelers.
Now we are but a gemstone’s throw from the original location two miles away. And, we’re proud to be the fourth generation, bringing extraordinary, hand-crafted one-of-a-kind jewelry to the Hudson Valley.
