We have a job opening for a Custom Sales Operative to support our growing business. As part of a small team, working with fourth-generation jewelry industry professionals, you will provide day-to-day support that ensures the smooth and effective operation of a small business.
General daily tasks include: *Sales and Design based on client request *CAD stock pieces using in stock gemstones *Operate 3d Printers *Clienteling/Follow-ups/Networking *Repair in-take *Cleaning customer's jewelry *Changing watch batteries *Inventory *Cleaning stock jewelry *Keeping showroom clean and orderly *Morning set up and Evening break down.
The ideal candidate has years of experience in Matrix9/MatrixGold/Rhino as well as Keyshot or Maverick with education from the GIA or equivalent Jewelry trade institute. You are energetic and great with people. You are creative and have the ability to design on the fly in front of clients. You can take their ideas, put them on paper and translate that into the CAD software and then price it out accurately. You must be a team player and have a good sense of humor.
There is a shop dog on premise at all times.
Preferred Experience / Qualifications: *Two years jewelry sales experience required. *Two years CAD/CAM experience *Familiarity with sales processes and strategies. *Understanding of gems and jewelry, GIA education preferred. *Understanding of jewelry manufacturing, ‘Best and Standard Practices’ *Hand Rendering experience preferred but not required. *Bench experience preferred but not required. This is not a Bench position. *Must be available 40 hours per week, over 5 days, Tuesday through Saturday with additional paid overtime hours in December.
