Extraordinary stones. Timeless stories.
Some diamonds are rare — and then there are those that redefine what’s possible. The largest diamonds ever discovered are more than remarkable in size; they represent history, craftsmanship, and the journey from rough stone to refined brilliance.
The Cullinan Diamond, discovered in South Africa in 1905, remains the largest rough diamond ever found at over 3,100 carats. It was eventually cut into several iconic stones, many of which now reside within the British Crown Jewels.
More recently, the Lesedi La Rona was uncovered in Botswana in 2015. Meaning “Our Light,” this remarkable diamond highlights how modern techniques continue to reveal the beauty hidden within these natural wonders.
Before either of these, the Excelsior Diamond, discovered in 1893, held the title as the largest known diamond. Unlike the Cullinan, it was cut into multiple smaller stones — a reflection of the era’s craftsmanship and style.
These extraordinary diamonds remind us that true beauty lies not only in size, but in story — a philosophy that continues to inspire every piece we curate.
